IHSW March and Dilara's Birthday :)

Sorry for belated IHSW post, I've been occupied with some activities at my daughter's school:
at Super Science Day (Science Week)

Sport Day

celebrating Dilara's 5th birthday!

Currently my husband is travelling for his work in Turkey and Tajikistan, he is away for 11 days, so I am all over the places. The amount of work and demand from 5yo and 2.5yo are exhausting to fulfill all by myself, I dont even have time to miss him (unless the longing for having an adult to share the responsibility :p)

The good news is since my husband is not in town during the weekend, I decided to stay at home throughout the weekend and do a lot of stitching for IHSW :) The kids were playing together and made a lot of mess everywhere and I let them did that :)

My work during IHSW:

Before IHSW

After IHSW. I was planning to finish the whole top but got bored with the sky!

made this one for a friend in Indonesia

finished the beading for the Runaway - Gorjuss
Perfect birthday present from mummy!

February TUSAL - IHSW - Themealicious check in!

Hello again from Amman :)

My internet is still as slow as ever even though we already taken the modem to the technical support! So I am way behind everything: blogging, posting-reading-commenting-replying the comments... please forgive me :( Good thing is we found an apartment, will move there next week so I hope the rooftop apartment will get a better signal reception than our current groundfloor apartment :)

This is my ORT jar for this month (obviously with an aura of Valentine's day *wink*)

I didn't sign up for IHSW for this month but I did join in... these are the results:

Busy busy week :)

Figural February
Who are the people in your neighborhood...your WIP neighborhood, that is? Give your people-populated projects some face time this month.

I have finished one project for my daughter teacher (I will give it to her early July when the term ended):

I really love  how it turn out :) Its a simple lovely gift :) I still have one more teacher project on progress for my sister, I am not sure if I could finish in time considering I have so much to do before we move to the new apartment, but we will see ;)

belated TUSAL and Themealicious January check in post

Hi, its me again with my annoyingly belated post! The internet is as unreliable as ever so most of the time when I have time to blog but the page just couldn't open!

But to be honest the main reason why I didn't post my TUSAL jar on time was because its was snowing in Amman!
Sorry Daffycat I was so excited and distracted I didn't do anything to do with cross stitch (or blogging about it) at all :)

some pics of us during the snow...

snow walking around the neighbourhood. This is what its like when its snowing in the Middle East!

Daddy is making a snow girl in Dilara's size with Turkish big long nose!

Now, TUSAL:

The right side was my jar from last year, a bunch of ORT in front of it was from my 2 weeks work in Turkey during last Christmas/New Year holiday. I am going to combine them with 2012 ORT since they are the result from that year even though produced after Dec TUSAL post.
The left side is my new 2013 jar. pretty good I guess :)

Let's move on to another belated post: Jardin January check in :)

Jardin January
The holidays were a little stressful...let's relax in a nice garden. Work on any piece with flowers or gardens.

My initial plan was to make 1993's Dimension chart ''GRANCHILDREN ARE LIKE FLOWERS IN THE GARDEN OF LIFE'' that I want to make as a gift for my parents.

Unfortunately, I couldn't start with it yet :( But I am very optimistic hopefully in the next 10 days I can make it :D

At the meantime, I made two little stitches from Lizzie Kate that I think would fit the theme as well:

Happy New Year and Themealicious 2012 wrap up!

Delightful December
The holidays are a time for relaxing...at least, that's the theory! No stress here...work on whatever you want and enjoy!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We are back in Amman since 2 days ago... It's nice to have a holiday but I think it would be nicer if we could have a week more :) This time is no travelling in Turkey, merely family visit, but I enjoyed it so much. Finally met my sister in law after more than 1 year apart, met the new husband of my husband's niece, enjoying the luxury of going out and about without children tagging and nagging along (thanks to mother in law) and almost nothing housework! I wasn't sure whether I wanted to stay in Konya or come back to Amman :p

While I was in Turkey I did some cross stitching and I am so happy about it.

I finished 'A Good Marriage' by Lizzie and Kat:

Made a small bell pull wedding records that my sis in law brought for me from the states (I chose it from ebay):

Near To My Heart Bell Pull (unfortunately the pull bell hardware is not included, I am ordering one from sewandso.co.uk and will be delivered to Indonesia) designed by Sandi Phipps
13'' high x 4 1/2'' wide
24ct Zweigart Linen Stitchband
5-24K Gold Plated Charm
DMC 100% Cotton Candy Floss
And finally my masterpiece:

I completed stitching the beads on 31st January morning and proudly handed it to my sister in law on New Year night :)

2012 had been a great stitchy year for me, it was my first year being an avid cross stitcher and thanks to blogging and all cross stitching events I was in to, I completed 22 projects throughout the year! Happy Dance! I hope 2013 will be as productive as last year, maybe more ;)
