Delightful December
The holidays are a time for relaxing...at least, that's the theory! No stress here...work on whatever you want and enjoy!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We are back in Amman since 2 days ago... It's nice to have a holiday but I think it would be nicer if we could have a week more :) This time is no travelling in Turkey, merely family visit, but I enjoyed it so much. Finally met my sister in law after more than 1 year apart, met the new husband of my husband's niece, enjoying the luxury of going out and about without children tagging and nagging along (thanks to mother in law) and almost nothing housework! I wasn't sure whether I wanted to stay in Konya or come back to Amman :p
While I was in Turkey I did some cross stitching and I am so happy about it.
I finished 'A Good Marriage' by Lizzie and Kat:
Made a small bell pull wedding records that my sis in law brought for me from the states (I chose it from ebay):
And finally my masterpiece:
2012 had been a great stitchy year for me, it was my first year being an avid cross stitcher and thanks to blogging and all cross stitching events I was in to, I completed 22 projects throughout the year! Happy Dance! I hope 2013 will be as productive as last year, maybe more ;)
***** many thanks, terima kasih, sağol, شُكْرًا
Hi Yanahanim, what great stitching. Your masterpiece is indeed worthy of the name and your sister-in-law must have been so delighted with her gift from the heart. I wish you an even more productive 2013 - 22 finishes for 2012 is impressive!

DeleteSilver Tea Moon looks amazing, the beading is lovely. Lucky Sister-in-law to receive such a great gift.
ReplyDeletethank you Jo, actually few weeks ago I just realised I should've stitched the beads in the same direction just like when we do the cross stitch. I had no idea about it at all, it doesnt show though after framing (I guess), its no big deal but since now I know I will try to do better next time :)
