IHSW March and Dilara's Birthday :)

Sorry for belated IHSW post, I've been occupied with some activities at my daughter's school:
at Super Science Day (Science Week)

Sport Day

celebrating Dilara's 5th birthday!

Currently my husband is travelling for his work in Turkey and Tajikistan, he is away for 11 days, so I am all over the places. The amount of work and demand from 5yo and 2.5yo are exhausting to fulfill all by myself, I dont even have time to miss him (unless the longing for having an adult to share the responsibility :p)

The good news is since my husband is not in town during the weekend, I decided to stay at home throughout the weekend and do a lot of stitching for IHSW :) The kids were playing together and made a lot of mess everywhere and I let them did that :)

My work during IHSW:

Before IHSW

After IHSW. I was planning to finish the whole top but got bored with the sky!

made this one for a friend in Indonesia

finished the beading for the Runaway - Gorjuss
Perfect birthday present from mummy!

Themealicious Figural February wrap up and New apartment!

Hello from our new residence in Dheir Ghbar!
Another belated post from me but I am so happy to announce that it is not caused by lame internet connection anymore! Our internet is so fast because now we live at the roof top! I have been so occupied with the house moving and all that stuff I haven't touched any cross stitch for about 10 days!

Some views from our apartment:

I really really love this house, it is new, actually small but the way the designed it make it looks so spacious. They made it in western style (so no waste of space that you usually findin Arabic style), high ceiling and glass all around :) The neighbour, landlady and even the watchman are super nice. There is a playground nearby, (soon to be) my son kindergarten is within walking distance, near main street but not the busy noisy one, easy to find taxi (I don't drive so this is important!), my husband now has to drive to office (usually he walks) but he doesn't have to pass the traffic jam area, and my daughter travel time to school is cut up to 30 mins! Still can't believe our luck because the rent is quite cheap for the area.

Now.. my cross stitch :) I made 'I love teaching' up to this point:

Not too bad I guess considering I stitched it for about 4 days only. If only I didn't have to clean and pack I would have finished it :)

March Madness
Work on something different every day...it's madness...of the funnest possible kind

Now I am torn between stitching all the designs that I have made promise to make for people back home (will go to Indonesia in July) or stitching some pieces for my new apartment ;)

February TUSAL - IHSW - Themealicious check in!

Hello again from Amman :)

My internet is still as slow as ever even though we already taken the modem to the technical support! So I am way behind everything: blogging, posting-reading-commenting-replying the comments... please forgive me :( Good thing is we found an apartment, will move there next week so I hope the rooftop apartment will get a better signal reception than our current groundfloor apartment :)

This is my ORT jar for this month (obviously with an aura of Valentine's day *wink*)

I didn't sign up for IHSW for this month but I did join in... these are the results:

I have finished one project for my daughter teacher (I will give it to her early July when the term ended):

I really love  how it turn out :) Its a simple lovely gift :) I still have one more teacher project on progress for my sister, I am not sure if I could finish in time considering I have so much to do before we move to the new apartment, but we will see ;)

Jardin January Wrap Up

I have been having migraine on and off for the last two weeks so I couldnt fulfil my target to finish my project 'Grandchildren are like flowers in the garden of life' by Dimension.
Another reason is my eyeglasses are not comfortable anymore, they need a little fix that they kept falling down from my nose :p I let them like that for months and finally my husband said enough is enough and he took them to an optics. They said it woud take only 5 minutes but they don't have the equipment so they need to send them to their warehouse. Knowing that it would only take one day so I agreed to be separated with my dear eyeglasses and now I am wearing my darkened lense eye glasses. Its been 4 days and the eyeglasses are not ready yet (5 mins? 1 day? sigh) and its very annoying to wear these dark glasses indoor day and night so lets forget doing any cross stitch!
This is how much I could get so far:

Well, there is 'flowers' written on it and there are little flowers on the corner so I think I am OK for Jardin January :)

February theme is Figural February

I am going to work on some Teacher projects dedicated for my daughter's teacher and for my eldest sister who is a teacher :)

The Fİrst IHSW in 2013

hello, finally after some times being late now I can post on time :)

Last weekend was a long weekend in Jordan because we were commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuH). Even though it was a 3 days holiday but I was occupied by many things (cleaning, cooking dinner for one family of neighbours on Saturday, etc) so I couldn't spend as much time as I intended to for stitching. However I managed to make some progress on The Runaway Birth Records by Gorjuss that I am now working on.

Before IHSW:

On Friday:

 On Sunday:

Not long to go, maybe 2-3 days more. I feel like to keep going until it completely finished! apart from I like the colours so I couldnt stop stitching it, the threads from the kit are a bit difficult to manage, they are easy to get messy so I think I should finish it while they are opened and spreaded on my table anyway. I will let you know when its done!
