belated TUSAL and Themealicious January check in post

Hi, its me again with my annoyingly belated post! The internet is as unreliable as ever so most of the time when I have time to blog but the page just couldn't open!

But to be honest the main reason why I didn't post my TUSAL jar on time was because its was snowing in Amman!
Sorry Daffycat I was so excited and distracted I didn't do anything to do with cross stitch (or blogging about it) at all :)

some pics of us during the snow...

snow walking around the neighbourhood. This is what its like when its snowing in the Middle East!

Daddy is making a snow girl in Dilara's size with Turkish big long nose!

Now, TUSAL:

The right side was my jar from last year, a bunch of ORT in front of it was from my 2 weeks work in Turkey during last Christmas/New Year holiday. I am going to combine them with 2012 ORT since they are the result from that year even though produced after Dec TUSAL post.
The left side is my new 2013 jar. pretty good I guess :)

Let's move on to another belated post: Jardin January check in :)

Jardin January
The holidays were a little stressful...let's relax in a nice garden. Work on any piece with flowers or gardens.

My initial plan was to make 1993's Dimension chart ''GRANCHILDREN ARE LIKE FLOWERS IN THE GARDEN OF LIFE'' that I want to make as a gift for my parents.

Unfortunately, I couldn't start with it yet :( But I am very optimistic hopefully in the next 10 days I can make it :D

At the meantime, I made two little stitches from Lizzie Kate that I think would fit the theme as well:

***** many thanks, terima kasih, sağol, شُكْرًا

  1. Wow! I didn't know that it could snow in the Middle East. Is that unusual? Global warming?

    Love your two garden stitcheries.

    1. Hi Kaye, snow is not unusual in Jordan, last year we had it too in February and March, even though only for 1 day. However this year we had it earlier (even earlier than europe I think, only Turkey beat us a couple days before) and thicker than usual.

  7. The snow is beautiful! We just got some here a couple of weeks ago (which we really only get ice, so it was a nice surprise). I really like the grandchildren stitch too, can't wait to see the progress!
